Sometimes all it takes is a question!
Let’s face it, if someone is going to ask me where I’m reading in the Word, I’ll probably keep reading. If not, well, it’s anyone’s bet what I’ll be doing! The Deep & Wide e-group is what we like to call e-ccountability. It’s a little tap on the shoulder that comes once or twice a week to ask where you’re reading, to offer up some suggestions for getting into God’s Word and to bring a gentle reminder that if you have time to surf the web, you have time to read the Word.

Just a quick question: Do you ever ask people where they are reading in the Word and what they are learning? I'm not talking about the self-proclaimed atheist down the street, I'm talking about people you walk with every day who claim the name of Jesus Christ.
It's a simple way to open up a spiritual conversation if you do it with gentleness and kindness . . . and it is a question that can make all of the difference in the world!
After all, if I know someone is going to ask me where I'm reading, I'll probably be a little more diligent in reading . . . but if nobody's going to ask . . . well, then, I could be putting my time just about anywhere . . .
So, where are you reading today? I've just been through Genesis and John and am moving to John's letters and Revelation.
Would love to hear back from you today and would love for you to find out where someone else is reading!

Just a quick check to see where you're reading today! Hit reply and let me know.
If you're finding yourself in a reading slump, try reading for awhile without underlining, highlighting, or taking notes. Just relax and let yourself enjoy meeting with God through His Word . . . that's what I'm going to do as soon as I hit the send button on this note.
Looking forward to hearing back from you!
