Today, at Deep and Wide MK School, we had a wonderful appreciation dinner for the teachers who have worked tirelessly throughout the semester.
This semester, we were especially grateful to Ms. Annie, who managed the entire program, along with the dedicated teachers Juyoung, Lucia, and Gloria, who each spent 2-3 hours preparing PowerPoints and class materials for each lesson.
For the first time, we used online textbooks for our English courses and introduced a system to track and visualize the students' progress in English. It was a semester of steady growth, not rapid but consistent, bringing joy to all involved.
Watching the students blossom beautifully under the care and dedication of our teachers made us truly thankful.
Now, we will take the next 3 months of summer break to prepare the new semester starting in September 2024. In the upcoming semester, we plan to try the "MK to MK" system. This system will have couple college MKs in the U.S. conduct classes for younger MKs in the mission field, creating a supportive and relatable learning environment. This will also provide a win-win structure where college MKs in the U.S. can support their living expenses while giving back to their community.

오늘 Deep and Wide MK School에서 한학기 동안 수고하신 선생님들과 감사 저녁식사를 가졌습니다.
이번 학기는 특별히 전체 과정을 관리해주신 Annie 선생님과 한 번의 수업을 위해 2-3시간씩 PPT를 만들고 수업 자료를 준비하셨던 Juyoung, Lucia, Gloria 3명 선생님께서 헌신적으로 가르쳐 주셨습니다.
영어 수업 과정을 위해 처음으로 온라인 교재를 사용하였고, 학생들의 영어 실력이 느는 것을 데이터화하여 볼 수 있는 시스템을 도입했던 학기였습니다. 빠르지는 않지만 꾸준하게 성장하고 있는 MK School로 인해 기쁜 시간이었고, 수고하신 선생님들의 사랑 아래 예쁘게 자라는 아이들을 보면서 감사한 학기였습니다.
이제 여름 3개월 동안 잘 정비하고 9월에 다시 새 학기를 시작합니다. 특별히 새로운 학기에는 "MK to MK" 시스템을 도입합니다. 이것은 선교현장에 있는 어린 MK들을 위해 미국에 있는 대학생 MK들이 수업을 진행하게 하는 것입니다. 이를 통해 현장에 있는 MK들에게는 자신을 잘 이해할 수 있는 좋은 선생님들을 만나는 기회를 얻게 될 것이고, 미국에서 공부하는 대학생 MK들은 생활비를 지원 받으며 미래를 준비할 수 있는 win-win 구조를 만들 것입니다.
